Brenna Ceron is the Resource Ranger at Galveston Island State Park. She went all the way from Fort Worth, Texas to Fort Collins, Colorado to earn a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from Colorado State University in 2008. After bouncing around the country for a while on various temporary wildlife field jobs, she finally returned to Texas and landed a job with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department on August 7, 2017. TPWD has allowed her the opportunity to expand her skills in everything from plant and bird identification to being a Certified Interpretative Guide to becoming the Wildland Firefighter. Ever the avid learner, she fills her spare time with too many hobbies to count, but most either improving on an existing skill like birding, camping, or hiking, or the development of new ones like sewing or drawing.
