Bill Matthews is an avid birder and especially enjoys the birds and habitats of the Upper Texas Gulf Coast. He serves on the board of directors of Houston Audubon. Previously he was active in the energy industry holding senior leadership positions at both Schlumberger and Landmark/Halliburton with the added bonus of lots of overseas travel (and sneaking in some birding time at locales around the world!).

He has a Master’s in Geology from Rice University, Houston, Texas and an undergraduate degree in the same from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
