Larry has been a nature photographer for more than 4 decades and specializes in capturing images from South Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. His publication credits included several nature and travel books, National Geographic books, Field & Stream, Sports Afield, Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine, Texas Highways magazine, Audubon Calendars, Texas Wildlife Magazine and many more.
After managing National Wildlife Refuges for 29 years, he retired and became a full-time photographer. He has consulted with many Texas landowners to help plan and establish commercial photography programs for private ranches. While Larry still leads a few workshops and instructional photo tours each year, most of his time is spent making landscape and wildlife images for books and special assignment projects.

What’s in the bag?
Most of the time, Larry carries a mirrorless Canon R7 camera and 100-500 lens in one bag and keeping his wide angle lens in another. He prefers a Gitzo 1348 tripod with Flexshooter Pro head, but many photos are done while hand-holding the light weight mirrorless equipment.
